Jennifer Aniston: ’I threw a chair at a director’
Jennifer Aniston, seen by many as the underdog of Hollywood relationships, sticks up for the little guy when necessary.
The “Horrible Bosses” comedian, who starred in the popular ’90s sitcom “Friends,” recently opened up to Elle magazine about an instance in which she chucked a piece of furniture at a director for mistreating one of his inferiors.
“I threw a chair at a director,” the 42-year-old told the publication. “It wasn’t my proudest moment. … He was treating a script supervisor horribly. … When the director walked in, I threw a chair at him. I missed, of course. I was like, ’You can’t speak to people like that.’ I can’t tolerate it.”
Whether or not Miss Aniston has had more violent bouts, she understands what it’s like to be humiliated by others. In 2005, the California girl had a highly publicized divorce from her husband of seven years, Brad Pitt, whom many speculated had been unfaithful with his “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” co-star, Angelina Jolie, on the set of the action movie. Mr. Pitt has gone on to have three children with Miss Jolie and publicly express his intense feelings for the sultry brunette.
“One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom,” Mr. Pitt said in a recent interview with Parade magazine. “She is such a great mom. Oh, man, I’m so happy to have her.”
In that same chat, Mr. Pitt seemingly implied that his union to Miss Aniston was dull.
“I spent the ’90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic. It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage [to Miss Aniston] had something to do with it - trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.”

Denise Richards unveils iVillage parenting blog
Actress Denise Richards has begun chronicling her “organized chaos” home life for iVillage, an online hub for all things woman-related.
The website, which launched a new section called CelebVillage on Monday, will host the “Real Girl Next Door” author’s weekly parenting blog. The former model’s first post was published Monday and introduces readers to Miss Richards’ three little girls. The older girls, Sam, 7, and Lola, 6, are her daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. She adopted baby Eloise this summer.
“One of the best parts of being a mom is seeing the world through my girls’ innocent eyes,” Miss Richards writes.
The actress, who will host the website for the month of October, said in a statement that she’s excited to address the universal mothering challenge of attempting to do everything.
“As a member of the iVillage community, I’m thrilled and honored to share my life experiences with millions of women, who just like me face life’s daily challenges of trying to do it all,” she said in the statement. “I know that all women have a story to share, and I’m looking forward to connecting and hearing from community members on the life lessons they’ve learned along the way.”
In her first post, Miss Richards states that family comes above all even though she sometimes sacrifices time with her kids for work.
“When I’m on set working long hours, I’m not always home for dinner,” Miss Richards writes. “When my daughter has a soccer game on a Saturday, I make the choice to miss a work event. My children come first - they are my first priority. … I recently started turning my phone off once a week and just spend that day with my kids with no outside distractions. I actually didn’t realize how much I used my phone until I turned it off! Its a fantastic change I made and being present with my girls is the best gift I could give them.”
According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Ironic” singer Alanis Morissette will take over CelebVillage in November and blog about baby boy Ever and juggling parenthood and music. In December, “Dancing with the Stars” contestant and newly engaged mother Ricki Lake will headline the site and write about “how she found true love the second time around.”

Sprint offers unlimited data to iPhone 4S users
If you’re looking for an incentive to switch phone carriers, Sprint gave a good reason by announcing that it will become the first carrier to offer unlimited data access with the new iPhone 4S.
Sprint CEO Dan Hesse is betting that the unlimited data plan will attract iPhone users, who historically complain about bills that can reach more than 300 pages. “Our customers can take advantage of the innovative features of iPhone without worrying about overage [overuse] charges or surprises on their bill.”
Reportedly paying $20 billion to Apple for the privilege of carrying the iPhone, Sprint’s unlimited data plan gives it a new advantage over AT&T and Verizon, the two other networks that carry the iPhone. Verizon began carrying the iPhone in January, but charges overuse fees for customers who exceed their allotted data plans.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Sprint’s carrier fee means it will not see a profit from the iPhone until 2014, a decision that saw its stock prices take a 10 percent hit.
The iPhone 4S, like its predecessors, will certainly need that extra data. Along with its usual features, the new Siri voice command app, which will come standard on the 4S, draws its answers from cloud services. Preorders can now be placed, and the iPhone 4S - the last phone that Steve Jobs worked on - will be available on Friday.
