NASHVILLE, TENN. (AP) - The Country Music Association Awards were turning into Jason Aldean’s kinda party.

Aldean won his first major awards at the CMAs, taking album of the year for his platinum-selling “My Kinda Party.”

That album included “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” his duet with Kelly Clarkson, which won musical event of the year.

Country’s hottest new star is the early leader at the CMA Awards, tied with The Band Perry, which won single and song of the year for “If I Die Young.”
