WASHINGTON (AP) - Four young Disney stars from military families are teaming up with first lady Michelle Obama to encourage other young people to support families of those who serve.

China Anne McClain (“A.N.T. Farm”), Adam Irigoyen (“Shake It Up”), and brothers Doug Brochu (“So Random!”) and Chris Brochu (“Lemonade Mouth”) tell their stories and Mrs. Obama talks about helping military families in spots to appear on the Disney Channel starting Friday.

Mrs. Obama urges young people to get to know kids from military families, saying, “You might just make a new friend.”

McClain and the Brochu brothers met with Mrs. Obama at the White House this week to talk about the issue _ and got a tour of the mansion.

Chris Brochu, whose father spent 25 years in the Army, including time as a Green Beret, paratrooper, diver and medic, said Wednesday he knows what it’s like “to have a father or a family member that is away for extended periods of time and not necessarily know what they’re doing or where they are.”

McClain’s uncle serves in the Air Force in Germany. Irigoyen’s uncle is an officer in the Navy Nurse Corps.
