Porter was hurt breaking up a pass on the second play from scrimmage of New Orleans’ game against Tampa Bay on Sunday. Porter was communicating with teammates and gave a thumbs-up as he was carted from the field.

Porter lay face down and motionless for several seconds after making a hard, low hit on receiver Mike Williams, who appeared to hurt his left leg but later returned to the game.

Soon after the collision, Porter was moving both legs briefly before trainers held him still, carefully turned him on his back, removed his face mask and strapped him to a stretcher.
