In Week 9, the Washington Redskins turned the ball over three times and the offense sputtered en route to their fourth consecutive loss, 19-11 to the San Francisco 49ers. Despite record-setting days from running back Roy Helu (14 catches) and Graham Gano (59-yard field goal), the Redskins were no match for the 7-1 49ers, who kept Washington from scoring a touchdown until 1:10 remaining in the fourth quarter.
