OPINION:
What actions should a betrayed electorate undertake for the abysmal failure of the supercommittee to reach a consensus about deficit reduction? I wonder how many of the 12 members of the supercommittee were ever punished as children?
An essential first-step remedy for the deficit-cutting panel’s failure to put aside their rigid ideologies would be for American voters to inject sufficient Lysol and brooms into the process and sweep away the dozen lawmakers devoted to act in lock step. Legislative failures of this magnitude should never be condoned by an articulate voting population.
