TOKYO (AP) - Sony is reporting a 27 billion yen ($346 million) loss for the latest quarter, battered by a strong yen and poor sales of flat-panel TVs.

The Japanese electronics and entertainment company lowered its full-year earnings forecast Wednesday. It now expects to stay in the red for the fiscal year through March 2012.

Sony Corp. had earlier said it would return to profit, recovering from losses the previous fiscal year.
