WASHINGTON — The White House says it is pleased that the Supreme Court will hear arguments over President Barack Obama’s heath care overhaul and is confident the law will be upheld.
In a statement, the White House says it knows the health care law is constitutional and is confident the Supreme Court will agree.
The justices revealed Monday that they would take the case. Arguments could come in March, allowing plenty of time for a decision in late June, just four months before Election Day.
Republicans say the president’s health care law is unconstitutional but federal courts have been split in their assessment.
