COLUMBIA, MO. (AP) - Missouri junior forwards Laurence Bowers and Kim English will return to school to play for new coach Frank Haith next year.
The two starters declared for the NBA draft in early April on the same day the school hired Haith. Not hiring an agent allowed each to gauge their pro potential without losing college eligibility.
Both Bowers and English were projected as second-round draft picks at best in the late June draft. With an NBA labor lockout looming, neither wanted to take the chance of being unable to sign a pro contract.
Bowers announced his decision through a university spokesman. English disclosed his decision on Twitter.
