DALLAS (AP) - Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers are in trouble, and they know it.

The Lakers are down 0-2 to the Dallas Mavericks going into Game 3 of their second-round series on Friday night, having lost both games in Los Angeles.

While three teams in NBA history have won a seven-game series after losing the first two at home, no team has rallied from an 0-3 deficit. That makes this next game even more pivotal in the Lakers’ quest for a third straight championship.

Los Angeles won’t have Ron Artest in Game 3. The NBA suspended him without pay for clotheslining Dallas guard J.J. Barea with 24 seconds left in Game 2.
