SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA (AP) - Seoul officials have decided to allow Italian fashion house Fendi to feature fur in an upcoming show in the city, reversing an earlier decision.
The city had asked Fendi to leave fur off the catwalk at its fashion show set for Thursday after animal rights activists threatened massive rallies.
Seoul official Seo Jeong-hyup said Tuesday the city changed its mind once Fendi said it would feature fewer fur products. Seo said Fendi argued it had spent months preparing.
A group of animal rights activists told reporters Tuesday they would stage an anti-fur rally and launch a consumer campaign to boycott Fendi products.
Fendi is know as a master of fur craftsmanship.
