INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Indianapolis Star is reporting that Colts quarterback Peyton Manning had “minimally invasive” surgery on his neck Monday night.
Manning told the newspaper he spent Monday night at Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital and returned home Tuesday.
Manning also had neck surgery in February 2010 to fix a pinched nerve. He also stayed overnight in the hospital that time.
The four-time NFL MVP has started 227 consecutive games including the playoffs, second only to Brett Favre’s 321.
