D.C. Council member Michael A. Brown has filed for re-election to the D.C. Council, his campaign said Monday.
Mr. Brown, at-large independent, was first elected in 2008 and serves as the council’s chairman of the committee on Housing and Workforce Development.
“It’s an honor to serve the residents of the District of Columbia,” Mr. Brown said in a statement. “I look forward to earning their continued support as I launch my re-election campaign and continue my service to residents in every ward across our great city.”
Mr. Brown will kick-off his fundraising with a June 15 event at the W Hotel, his campaign staff said.
