BARCELONA, SPAIN (AP) - Robin van Persie is in Arsenal’s starting lineup for the second leg of the Gunners’ second-round, second-leg game at Barcelona in the Champions League.
The Dutch forward has surprisingly recovered from a knee injury in only nine days after manager Arsene Wenger initially said he would be sidelined for a month.
Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas also returns from a hamstring injury to start Tuesday. The Gunners are defending a 2-1 lead.
Van Persie, who scored in the first leg, trained on Monday before traveling to Spain with the rest of the team.
