NEW YORK (AP) - The NCAA is not discussing further expansion of the NCAA tournament, though officials acknowledge it’s “always on the list of topics.”

Speaking Tuesday, NCAA vice president Greg Shaheen says the focus is on the first 68-team tournament, which begins with the “First Four” games in Dayton, Ohio.

Two games will match the lowest seeds, Nos. 65 through 68, and two others will match the last four at-large seeds next Tuesday and Wednesday.

The 68-team field will be announced Sunday.

The NCAA announced last April that it would add three teams to the field, the first expansion since the tournament went from 64 teams to 65 in 2001. The 68-team model was chosen over expanding the field to 96, which received support from many coaches and administrators.
