Democratic Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts wants to attack Libya to assist the rebels fighting longtime leader Col. Moammar Gadhafi, but what is he willing to do for the democracy of Taiwan?

Why is the security of a democracy in Taiwan any less important than the security of democracy in the Middle East?

I suggest we all ask our elected officials to take a closer look at Taiwan before it is too late. Anti-democratic China gets stronger as we weaken. The time to get Taiwan into the United Nations is now, not at some later date when China can roll right over us.

Although he has been opposed to U.S. involvement in Iraq and Vietnam, it seems odd that Mr. Kerry should forget our friend Taiwan.
