LINCOLN, NEB. (AP) - Nebraska coach Bo Pelini says defensive tackle Jared Crick will miss the rest of spring practice because of a knee injury.
Pelini said Tuesday that Crick should be full speed in a few weeks and will participate in the Cornhuskers’ offseason program. Pelini said there’s no reason to rush him back onto the field this spring.
Crick, who was injured Monday, made 70 tackles last season and led the team with 9 1/2 sacks.
The senior from Cozad, Neb., returned to Nebraska after considering declaring for the NFL draft.
