President Obama has seen fit to commit American armed forces to action in Libya, but he seems unable to give a solid reason for doing so. Such action is likely to result in another Islamist state.

Meanwhile, Israel has sustained terrorist attacks that have received neither notice nor condemnation from the Obama administration and Congress. Earlier this month, members of an Israeli family, including a 3-month-old, were murdered savagely as they slept. The terror group Hamas has fired more than 50 rockets and mortars into Israel from Gaza in the past month and about 100 this year alone.

Why is the United States supporting rioters in Muslim countries without acknowledging that should they come to power and create an Islamist state, the world will be a more dangerous place? The Obama administration supports these Libyan “rebels” and, like the United Nations, remains silent on the terror attacks ravaging Israel.

Our nation seems to have lost its way, condemning killings in Muslim countries by Muslims but not the killing of innocent non-Muslims by Muslim murderers. It is about time for the Obama administration to take a vocal stance on what is happening in Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East.
