WASHINGTON | Pepco says it is scheduling extra crews to handle any damage from a rare spring snow expected in the Washington area.

The utility also is asking people to report power outages and downed wires to help make sure any damage can be repaired quickly. Snow is expected to fall in the area early Sunday morning.

Pepco customers have been plagued with long power outages after storms during the winter season.
