GREENBELT, Md. (AP) — Former Prince George’s County Executive Jack Johnson has pleaded not guilty to a series of charges stemming from a corruption investigation.

Johnson was in federal court in Greenbelt on Tuesday. His lawyer entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf to eight counts in an indictment including extortion, bribery and conspiracy. The hearing lasted less than 10 minutes.

Lawyers for the government said they expected to turn over additional wiretap evidence in the case in the next week.
