ATLANTA (AP) - Southeastern Conference leading scorer John Jenkins didn’t play in the first half of Vanderbilt’s opening game in the Southeastern Conference tournament because of an ailing foot.
Jenkins went through pregame warmups before Thursday night’s game against LSU but hasn’t left the bench. The Commodores lead 33-27 at the half.
School spokesman Andy Boggs says Jenkins tweaked his left foot in last weekend’s regular-season finale against Florida and could play if needed.
Jenkins leads the SEC at 19.4 points a game.
