Two school buses collided head-on in Northeast, and at least nine people were transported to area hospitals, including several students.
D.C. fire department spokesman Pete Piringer said the buses crashed Thursday afternoon on Eastern Avenue near Booth Lane. One bus was from D.C. schools and the other was from Prince George’s County.
Mr. Piringer said two adults were seriously injured, a male and a female. They were thought to be the bus drivers.
Two other adults and five children were being taken to hospitals as a precaution but were not seriously injured.
The children appeared to be pre-teens. It wasn’t immediately clear what schools they were from.
