COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The NCAA baseball regional game between South Carolina and Stetson has been suspended until Monday by a severe thunderstorm that knocked out power to Carolina Stadium.

The game is scheduled to resume at 1 p.m. Monday with South Carolina leading 4-1 in the top of the fifth inning. The Gamecocks would clinch the Columbia Regional with a victory. Should Stetson win, the final game of the regional would follow at 7 p.m..

NCAA representative Mike Knight said the game would resume Monday even if power is not restored to the stadium.

The game was halted at 8:24 p.m. Sunday. Most of the crowd had filed out before the storm hit, but some were under the covered concourse.
