SACRAMENTO, CALIF. (AP) - The Sacramento Kings have drafted forward Bismack Biyombo of Congo with the seventh overall pick and will send him to Charlotte as part of a three-team deal.
A person familiar with the deal says the Kings will send Biyombo to the Bobcats as part of Thursday’s deal. Sacramento will get the No. 10 pick and swingman John Salmons from Milwaukee. The Kings are also sending guard Beno Udrih to the Bucks, the person told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the deal has not been announced.
Biyombo is projected as one of the top defensive prospects in the draft. The 6-foot-9 forward has a 7-7 wingspan, but still needs work on the offensive end.
