DENVER (AP) - The San Diego Padres have recalled lefty Wade LeBlanc from Triple-A Tucson to help out their banged-up rotation.
LeBlanc (0-1) will start Tuesday night in Colorado.
The Padres optioned right-hander Anthony Bass to Double-A San Antonio. Bass pitched five efficient innings on Monday night for his first major league win, but barely had time to celebrate as he was sent down following the game. The Padres needed the spot to call up another starter.
San Diego’s rotation is nicked up with Dustin Moseley still bothered by a slightly dislocated left shoulder and Aaron Harang going on the disabled list with a bruised right foot.
Moseley is expected to start Sunday in Minnesota.
