COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) - In search of her second major of the year, Stacy Lewis made four birdies over her last nine holes to take the lead after the first round of the U.S. Women’s Open.

Playing her first round Friday after play was suspended the day before, Lewis shot 3-under 68 to take a one-shot lead into the clubhouse. There, she had about 45 minutes for lunch before a second-round tee time awaited her.

Trailing Lewis by a shot were Lizette Salas and Ryann O’Toole, who also were scheduled to play 36 holes Friday.

Also at 2 under was amateur Amy Anderson, who finished her first round early but won’t start the second until Saturday.

Defending champion Paula Creamer finished at 1 over, while world No. 1 Yani Tseng shot 74.
