EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - The New York Giants won’t hold their training camp in Albany, N.Y., this year.
The NFL team says because of concerns about the league’s current impasse, it will hold training camp at its home headquarters in East Rutherford.
The Giants have trained in Albany since 1996. In making the move to train at home this year, the Giants noted they were concerned about logistical and timing restrictions that have arisen during that more than three-month old lockout.
The team informed the University at Albany and Albany Mayor Gerald Jennings on Friday morning.
