ROSKILDE, DENMARK (AP) - A young woman died Sunday and another person was injured after they fell from a tower at the Roskilde music festival in Denmark, police said.

Police spokesman Carsten Andersen said the woman, aged between 25 and 30, died after falling from a 30-meter (98-foot) tower in the festival’s camping area.

Andersen said another person was lightly injured in the same fall.

The tower was the starting point for an aerial cable ride run by one of the festival’s sponsors.

Police don’t know what caused the accident and haven’t yet identified the two.

Festival spokesman Mads Mikkelsen said the accident was “very tragic,” but declined to comment further until he had received more detailed information from the police.

The Roskilde Festival is Denmark’s largest rock festival and some 75,000 people had bought tickets for this year’s event.

The accident was the first deadly incident since the tragedy in 2000, when nine people died and 43 were injured after an out-of-control crowd pushed forward during a Pearl Jam gig.
