DEVELOPING:
The Washington Redskins have traded disgruntled defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth to the New England Patriots for a 2013 fifth-round draft pick, according to ESPN and other news organizations.
Haynesworth, who will have to pass his physical for the trade to become official, is scheduled to make $5 million this season. The trade reportedly came early Thursday morning.
