LOS ANGELES (AP) - The youngest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver is out of the hospital after a body-boarding accident at a Malibu beach.
Thirteen-year-old Christopher Schwarzenegger suffered a collapsed lung and broken bones in the July 17 mishap.
Shriver tweeted Tuesday that Christopher was released Monday evening after a nine-day stay.
She thanked doctors, nurses and intensive care unit staffers who cared for the teen.
In a Twitter post Monday the former governor said, “Thanks for all your support for Christopher. It means a lot to me & to him. He’s doing much better & we’ll have him back at full speed soon.”
Schwarzenegger and Shriver are in the midst of a divorce.
