It looks as though President Obama will have padded his campaign chest by a billion - yes, a billion - dollars come election time. He and his handlers will have bombarded us with print, TV and other media ads telling us what a great job his administration has done in its first term in office.

Most likely, they’ll praise the wonderful job our other elected “public servants” have done. In reality, these are the people who have likely never held a job in the private sector and have driven our cities, states and country into insolvency with their incapability to perform their duties for the people who’ve elected them.

In 2012, it will be incumbent upon the electorate to take the time to study the candidates who are standing for election - and to get rid of the ones in office who have fed at the taxpayer-filled trough for the last three or four election cycles. Both Democrats and Republicans are culpable for the travesty our government has become.

Simply put, we must not be persuaded by the coming political ads in the media but must instead think for ourselves and vote accordingly.
