OPINION:
How dare President Obama threaten our elderly by saying that he will withhold Social Security checks if a debt-limit deal is not made (“Obama: Without deal, no guarantee of Social Security checks Aug. 3,” Web, Tuesday).
This sort of thing might work in Chicago, but Mr. Obama is the president of the United States, not a mob boss. Perhaps next he will threaten our military members, the very people who serve and protect him. I hope and pray Congress holds true to our values and does not give in to this bullying. How dare you, Mr. President.
