’Jersey Shore’s’ Ronnie can stay out of jail
Assault charges will be dismissed if “Jersey Shore” cast member Ronald “Ronnie” Ortiz-Magro stays out of trouble.
According to the Associated Press, the charges stem from a fight outside a Seaside Heights, N.J., nightclub in 2009 that was shown during the first season of the MTV reality series.
A judge in Ocean County on Monday admitted the 25-year-old Bronx, N.Y., resident into a pretrial intervention program for 18 months. Under the program, he neither admits nor denies guilt.
Mr. Ortiz-Magro is accused of assaulting Stephen Izzo. Mr. Izzo has a civil lawsuit pending against the cast member and MTV.

TV producer to stand trial in Mexico in wife’s death
A judge has ordered a reality TV producer to be returned to Mexico to face a charge that he killed his wife while on a family vacation 15 months ago.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Chooljian issued her ruling Tuesday after an extradition hearing in Los Angeles.
Bruce Beresford-Redman has been jailed since November on a fugitive warrant issued after Mexican authorities in Cancun charged him with the aggravated homicide of his wife, Monica.
The couple had gone on the trip to try to repair their marriage, which had been damaged by an affair that Mr. Beresford-Redman had with a co-worker.
The former “Survivor” producer’s attorneys have said he is innocent and challenged the case against him, calling it a rush to judgment.
Monica Beresford-Redman’s body was found in a sewer cistern at an upscale Cancun resort in April 2010.
If convicted in Mexico, the Emmy-nominated producer and co-creator of “Pimp My Ride” could be sentenced to between 12 and 30 years in prison.
Paisley, Underwood again tapped for CMA show
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will be together again in November.
The Associated Press reports that they have been picked to host the Country Music Association Awards for a fourth straight year. The 45th annual awards will be aired live Nov. 9 from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on ABC.
Mr. Paisley and Miss Underwood have won 19 CMA awards between them.
As Mr. Paisley noted in a news release announcing their return, they have achieved a comic chemistry over the years with Miss Underwood’s class balancing “my non-class act. I’ll try my best to not mess it up.”
Glenn Beck will move to the Lone Star State
Former Fox News Channel personality Glenn Beck is bound for Texas, according to the Associated Press.
Mr. Beck said Monday that he is relocating his family to Dallas, where his media company is building a television and radio studio.
He is starting an online network, GBTV, on which he will beam a two-hour program each evening starting in late summer. He is continuing his syndicated radio show.
Mr. Beck doubled the ratings at his time slot almost immediately after joining Fox in January 2009. But critics persuaded advertisers to boycott his show last summer after he said President Obama had “a deep-seated hatred for white people.” His last show was in June.
