LOS ANGELES (AP) - “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” showed good form in its second weekend, retaining the top spot at the box office with $47.1 million domestically.

With $261.1 million, the sci-fi sequel passed “The Hangover Part II” to become the year’s top-grossing hit domestically.

The top 20 movies at U.S. and Canadian theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Hollywood.com are:
