SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. (AP) - Oregon coach Chip Kelly is tired of talking about the BCS title game.
“Let’s go play” is his feeling. After five weeks of hype, Kelly certainly isn’t alone in wanting to get on with Monday night’s game against top-ranked Auburn.
Kelly and Tigers coach Gene Chizik both say they like their team’s mindset going into the biggest game of their lives. They addressed the media for the final time before the title game on Sunday.
Chizik says the only pressure his team faces is wanting to “win for ourselves” and Auburn fans.
Likewise, Kelly says he expects his second-ranked Ducks to “go out there and cut loose and have fun playing football.”
Other hot topics the day before the game: The pace. Avoiding costly celebration penalties. And of course, Cam Newton.
