In the Jan. 3 Page One article “Emirates asked U.S. to help find killers of Hamas weapons dealer,” you reported, “Hamas leaders have claimed credit for some of the bloodiest terrorism against Israeli civilians in the past 20 years, including a 1994 van bombing in Afula that killed nine people and wounded more than 50.”

The Afula mass murder was one of Hamas’ defining terrorist strikes but not the deadliest. That was the 2002 suicide bombing of a Passover Seder at the Park Hotel in Netanya, in which 30 people were killed and approximately 140 were wounded. Hamas should be condemned for both its genocidal words and its murderous deeds.
