AUSTIN, TEXAS (AP) - Texas has hired Alabama defensive line coach Bo Davis to coach the Longhorns’ defensive tackles.

The move is the second hire on coach Mack Brown’s depleted staff after the Longhorns went 5-7 in 2010, their first losing season in 13 years.

Davis spent the last four seasons at Alabama and had previous jobs at LSU and with the Miami Dolphins. At Alabama, Davis was part of the coaching staff that beat Texas in the 2009 season national championship game.

Brown still has to hire offensive and defensive coordinators. Longtime offensive coordinator Greg Davis resigned after the season and former defensive coordinator Will Muschamp left Texas to be the head coach at Florida.
