NEW YORK (AP) - The Nielsen Co. says 42.8 million people watched President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address.

That’s down 11 percent from the 48 million people who watched Obama’s annual speech to Congress and the American people in January 2010.

Nielsen said Wednesday that Obama’s speech was carried on 11 different networks: ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CNN, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo, Univision and Centric.
