KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — NATO on Wednesday said five of its service members were killed in three separate incidents in Afghanistan.
The coalition said four of the service members were killed in the east of the country — three in a roadside bombing and one in an insurgent attack. Another service member was killed in a roadside bombing in the south.
It did not say which country the soldiers were from, a more precise location or any details of the attacks.
The deaths bring to 16 the number of international troops killed in Afghanistan so far this year.
The NATO deaths came on a day when the Taliban killed six people in two other bombings that targeted the Afghan intelligence services.
