DENVER (AP) - The Houston Rockets are without suspended guard Aaron Brooks against the Denver Nuggets.
The Rockets suspended Brooks for one game for leaving the court in the fourth quarter of their win over Memphis on Saturday. Brooks has been frustrated about his diminished role. He did not travel with the team to Denver.
Before the opening tip on Monday night, Rockets coach Rick Adelman said he hadn’t spoken with Brooks, but added: “What he did was the completely wrong thing to do. He has to suffer the consequences.”
Brooks is averaging 12.2 points and 4.1 assists in 28 games. He’s missed 24 games with a sprained left ankle.
