DENVER (AP) - Nene was held out of the Denver Nuggets’ game against the Houston Rockets because of the flu.
Nuggets coach George Karl said Monday that a couple of his assistants also have been hit hard by the bug. He said Nene was “dehydrated and doesn’t have the energy to go.”
The Nuggets said Nene was day to day with a sinus infection and chest congestion.
The Brazilian big man is in the midst of his most consistent season, averaging 15.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
