WASHINGTON (AP) - Georgetown point guard Chris Wright had surgery on a broken bone in his non-shooting hand and is expected to return this season.
Wright had surgery Thursday morning after breaking his left hand in a loss to Cincinnati on Wednesday.
Coach John Thompson III said the team does not have “an exact timetable,” but expects to have Wright back before the end of the season.
Wright was hurt when he lost possession of the ball and committed a foul as he reached for it.
Wright is averaging 13.1 points for the 11th-ranked Hoyas. He had been playing especially well recently, averaging 21.7 points and shooting 50 percent from the field over his previous three games.
