WASHINGTON (AP) — An actor portraying Abraham Lincoln’s journey from Illinois to Washington is arriving in the nation’s capital in advance of the 150th anniversary of the 16th president’s inauguration.

National Park Service Director Jon Jarvis is joining actor Fritz Klein for the final leg Wednesday morning from Baltimore to Washington. They will ride aboard an Amtrak train with students from Baltimore’s Digital Harbor School and arrive just before noon.

Later on Wednesday, the group will gather at Ford’s Theatre to discuss the sacrifices made during the Civil War.

Lincoln made the 1861 journey to his inauguration in Washington by train, stopping in 16 cities and towns to speak to a nation on the brink of war.

Klein began the journey Feb. 11.
