KNOXVILLE, TENN. (AP) - A person familiar with the situation tells The Associated Press that Tennessee officials expect to receive official notice of NCAA allegations this week.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the official notice hadn’t been received by the university.

Volunteers coach Bruce Pearl is facing an unethical conduct charge after misleading NCAA investigators about improperly hosting recruits at his home during a 2008 cookout.

Tennessee punished Pearl by reducing his salary by $1.5 million over four seasons and banning him from off-campus recruiting for a year. The Southeastern Conference punished him with an eight-game suspension, which he has already served.

The NCAA has also been investigating possible violations committed by former football coach Lane Kiffin and his staff and the Vols baseball program.
