How did you get started in real estate? I was a project manager for a small development firm in Georgetown and admired the agents who were selling the condos we built. Six years later, I decided to go to class and get licensed.
How long have you been with the current company? Since May
Licenses and designations: Licensed in the District for now; Virginia is next, then Maryland
Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: My recent settlement on New Year’s Eve; I found my newlywed clients a home that had just entered the market and was able to get them a deal for $15,000 under appraisal. That is a great feeling!
Area of specialty: Logan and Dupont in the District and Centreville, Va.
Most memorable house: It is one I am co-listing now. It has a gorgeous open floor plan with a jaw-dropping backyard on the D.C.-Bethesda line.
Worst experience buying or selling a house: The worst experience I had recently was selling a listing and getting two offers. One was 93 percent of asking price, but the owners rejected the offers. I wanted to go home and get under the covers just to pretend it was a bad dream.
Family: Single with three amazing nephews
Pets: Sasha, an Ibizan hound
Education: First professional degree in architecture from Boston Architectural College
Community service: Volunteer for Food and Friends; annual bike rides to raise money for Braking the Cycle, an AIDS clinic in New York City; National MS Society; Delaware Bike to the Bay; DC Autism Speaks Walk
Last book read: “City of Thieves” by David Benioff
Last movie seen: “Black Swan”
What kind of car do you drive? Jeep Grand Cherokee
Describe your personal dream house: One that I restore, French baroque on the outside and contemporary museum style on the inside
