WOODBURY, N.Y. (AP) — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said on Thursday that President Obama’s budget proposal does not do enough to cut the national deficit.
Mrs. Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, spoke before a gathering of 1,000 business and civic leaders on New York’s Long Island.
Mrs. Palin said Mr. Obama’s budget “doesn’t even make a dent” in the deficit. “It’s not nearly enough,” she added.
Mrs. Palin answered questions posed by Kevin Law, president of the Long Island Association. She was expected to spend an hour at a paid appearance before the business group.
