All the talk about the Republican Party’s “baggage” is very funny to me (“For Republican candidates, mum’s the word on Bush,” Web, Wednesday). President Obama has so much baggage that Samsonite could operate its factories on three shifts and still be unable to manufacture enough suitcases to hold it all.

A trillion-dollar Obamacare bill is enough to sink him, but he also presides over steadily high unemployment and a record of three years of total incompetence - the cherry on the sundae of his presidency.

If you want verbal gaffes, how about the president’s declaration that there are 57 American states and that Emperor Hirohito was on the battleship USS Missouri to sign the Japanese surrender?

The only qualifications the GOP candidate should need are being able to pronounce “corpsman” and being alive.
