Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley announced Friday that an Indian food manufacturer has agreed to open a $10-million facility in the state, closing the latest deal to come from his trade mission to India.

The agreement is one several reached during the six-day trip made by more than 100 state officials and business leaders, which ends Saturday. The delegation had secured $37 million in deals as of Thursday night, according to state officials.

As part of its agreement, India-based Jasco Nutri Foods will invest $10 million in a Maryland facility that could employ as many as 100 people.

Mr. O’Malley, a Democrat, also announced Friday that India’s chambers of commerce and industry have agreed to open an India-Maryland Center in Maryland to facilitate trade between the two parties. The group will also sponsor its own trade mission to Maryland in April, focusing on biotech, renewable energy and infrastructure industries.
