In Week 14, the Washington Redskins showed they could keep up with a high-flying New England Patriots offense. Rex Grossman and Roy Helu continued their strong play of late, while the offense sprinkled in some trickery with a Brandon Banks TD throw. Trailing by a touchdown on a third-and-goal in the closing seconds, however, Grossman’s short pass slipped through Santana Moss’ hands — after Moss was flagged for pass interference on a TD reception two plays earlier — and was intercepted. The Redskins fell 34-27, losing for the eighth time in their last nine games.
