MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Bernard Berrian was the forgotten man in Minnesota last season. He was ignored by Brett Favre in the Vikings offense and had his lowest production in five years.

Now that Donovan McNabb is running the show, Berrian’s prospects appear to be on the upswing. The speedy receiver had two catches for 64 yards, including a 49-yard touchdown, against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night.

More importantly, Berrian was targeted by McNabb four times in the first half of the exhibition game. That’s more than Favre would look his way for entire games last season.

Berrian says he feels much more in synch with McNabb than he did with Favre and likes his role in the new offense coordinator Bill Musgrave has designed.
